Newtown Soberton Infant School
We are proud of our strong partnership with Newtown Soberton Infant School, which is enhanced by our location within the school grounds while still having our own dedicated indoor and outdoor spaces. Over time, these links have grown through our involvement in school events such as the Christmas Nativity, Easter Bonnet Parade, and Sports Day.
We make excellent use of the school facilities, including the library for daily small group story times, the hall, and the outdoor playground to support physical development. The Infant School Year R teacher also serves voluntarily as Chair of our Pre-School Committee, further strengthening the connection between our settings.
Staff from both settings work closely together to moderate children’s progress and take part in joint training, including safeguarding and Philosophy for Children (P4C). In addition, the FONS fundraising group raises vital funds for both settings through events like the Easter Egg Hunt and Christmas Fayre.
To support children moving on to Newtown Soberton, we provide a well-planned transition programme to ensure a smooth and confident start to school life.
